My name is Misti Mitchell and I'm excited to be a part of your education journey. My passion for education was born from my own educational experiences at Utah State University, where I studied Deaf Education and mathematics, from homeschooling experiences with my own children, and as an active participant in my local homeschool community. Through my experiences, I have found a love and enthusiasm for teaching in three main areas: American Sign Language, mathematics, and mentoring. I have been actively teaching for over 16 years and have been teaching ASL classes for the past 9 years. I am currently working to develop a rich, heart-based approach to teaching math so that I can offer support to homeschool families through fun and engaging math groups. I deeply enjoy mentoring other homeschool parents, both in the classroom and one-on-one. When I'm not teaching you will find me with my family, kayaking on a lake, or hiking in the mountains.
